We are Offered Sonship

I grew up in the influence of two, of so many franchised cultures, of Christianity. I rebelled as a youth and experienced 15 years of not living under authority, determined to go my own way.  In my deceived state of being, I perceived this as liberty but in this deceptive liberty I experienced the culture that our world lives in apart from the influence of Christ. It is, most certainly, a fallen world that operates under and influenced by a culture of demons (fallen angels). The liberty we think we have in following our own way left me broken, wounded and hopeless and feeling there was no way out of the disparity of it. 

In desperation I reached out to someone in another franchise of Christinianity who had the influence of receiving and incorporating in their religious culture scriptures that allowed them to receive from the Holy Spirit’s direction. Bear in mind that in these seasons of my life I had not been able to “see” these places of religious influence as franchises. When your eyes are opened what else else would they be? Each place adopts and sees the same scriptures that all Christian’s treasure in the Bible in their own way that influence how their congregation believes to get them to follow their slant. 

I grew in greater influence of the third franchise and received much healing through deliverance. The leaders, influenced by this franchise, helped me move out of much of the darkness and captivity that I experienced in my soul while not living under authority. I grew enough that my husband and I wanted to help others out of pain that resulted from not being influenced by following Christ.  Noone realizes that the demonically influenced world produces deep and dark destruction within men’s souls. If they do realize any of it they see it as an illness that doctors, medications, alcohol and drugs or whatever  the systems of the world offer that can help them bear up under the trouble.  It is spiritual understanding that’s needed to put our enemy in his place. 

I “felt” (still was led in captivity by my feelings) strongly that because I had escaped much of this captivity of pain through dedication to Christ. I felt that I could show others the way out. I thought that was what God wanted me to do. That’s what all my franchised teachings brought me to understand. 

I was certainly busy doing what I thought was the call of all who follow Christ. We participated in all Christian services that we were able to. We led  and facilitated a Christ-centred 12 step program. We were part of the prison and jail ministry. We opened a mission for women who had no place to go. My life was consumed with “serving” (performing acts) that I thought brought me and others out of the captivity of the culture of demons and into freedom. You can only share what you know. Little did I realize that there was still much deception I was still held captive in. 

I know now that what I was doing was giving them structure which gives you a network of people to support us through life. Those things are good but they don’t change us or fulfil us. There’s always something that brings our thoughts to thinking there’s something missing and there definitely is. What’s missing is knowing our Father well enough to know we should be refusing to compromise the truth instead of tolerating compromise that keeps us from spiritual growth. 

One day as I sat under teaching of scripture I was impacted by the strength of the influence of the Holy Spirit that alerted me to pay attention. The words became personal. From that day Heavenly Father caused me to question what was going on all around me that consumed my thoughts, created habitual action, influencing my behaviour and finally resulted in the influence of my character that had been built as a result of the direction I had accepted as truth. 

The words, “you think you are rich but you are poor, blind and naked and you need to pray Me for salve for your eyes so you can see.” It deeply convicted me.  I prayed and said, “Lord, I feel rich. Am I poor, blind and naked? Do I need to ask you to salve my eyes so I can see?” I did ask for the salve. This was where the Holy Spirit began opening my eyes to “see” and question the contradictions and compromises that were accepted all around me in people’s lives that didn’t line up with scripture.  We all accepted slants of “seeing” scripture according to our own particular way of believing in Christ. These slants kept us separated. This was one of the things the Holy Spirit heralded as a tell-tale sign that we were in deception. We are to be One family with His mind. You can’t get there except through Spirit. Our religious world is full of intellectual reasonings and senses of mankind’s souls who are not following the Spirit of Christ. 

How do I know?  The Holy Spirit revealed it. I was thoroughly deceived into thinking that I was living in truth in God’s Kingdom. 

Enough contradictions and compromises were experienced over several years that when the Holy Spirit directed me to “stop doing everything,” I talked to my husband about it and we did exactly that. We stopped doing everything. We didn’t understand what or why He was asking us to stop participating in all that we had understood that we thought He was doing through us. We just knew it was Him and we blindly obeyed. That’s what we told the people we loved who became cut off from us. Everyone we knew that we did life with continued in the ways accepted as Christianity while we were stopped by the One who was supposed to be the author of it. 

It was the hardest path the Lord had ever required of us but it brought us to truth. 

It began the journey of separating the counterfeits and half truths we had lived in from the truth.  Our lives changed from following people who accepted and taught franchised versions of scripture to the Holy Spirit making Himself known and Him teaching and bringing revelation to us of what the Scriptures were saying according to Him. 

Through the Spirit of Truth’s teachings we have been able to come to “see” the differences in following religious teachings that influence the soul, which is easily manipulated by the deceiver, verses the Spirit of God teaching us who we are in Him and how we had conflated the two. 

With the Holy Spirit’s help I will write out the truth of why Jesus came in the alignment of our Father’s plans and purposes that were plain to Him before He ever started creating the earth and all life contained in it. I pray that as you read and what I write seems familiar in your franchised beliefs and you feel rich in them that you will pray for the salve that only He can give so you can see the differences. The enemy has taken the truths of the gospel and compromised and counterfeited the truth of His salvation and His Kingdom. Let him who has ears to hear repent and follow Christ, Jesus, and not franchises of offshoots of man’s idea of following Christ that present religion.  Mankind, probably, with good intentions, has manipulated scripture to build their franchised version of the

Gospel to contain a form of godliness but which denies our Father’s power. Most institutions that are supposed to be empowering God’s Sons keep His people in ignorance and infantile mindsets which compromises their identities in Christ. 

The Good News Jesus brought:

Jesus came to show mankind the Father, not God. Our Father is God but a Son knows God as their Father. He only did what His Father did and only said what He said. He came to fulfil the law of the covenant (which is not the original covenant that He presented to Abraham). Jesus fulfilled the laws of this covenant given to Moses by not breaking them and ratified mankind breaking the laws by shedding His own blood as the sacrifice required to satisfy it. That freed all of mankind to follow Him instead of those laws. Those laws were were provided to protect the seed until He came. (Christ). Because He paid the price for our inability to keep the law He freed us so that we can accept adoption into God’s family as Sons. (A Son of God is spirit and has no gender). This is the original covenant. All of God’s family are spirits. We live in His Kingdom which is governed by righteousness, peace and joy. It is not of the earth and living in the Kingdom of Heaven the reality of it is in us. His righteousness living in us (our spirits) renews our minds (we still have a soul and it’s being saved by the renewal of the mind by the spirit). Sin loses power to control us as we submit to living in the truth over how we “feel.” We no longer need a set of laws to follow. His Spirit in us convicts us and we stop habitually sinning. “If” we sin we have an advocate (Christ) with the Father.

Anyone who would follow Jesus is required to believe Jesus is God’s son. They should  want to be adopted by Jesus’ Father so He can become Our Father.  When we are adopted we join His family (His House) and how His family is governed. (His Kingdom) God offers us inheritance by adopting us as Sons. He offers us Sonship. 

If we choose to be adopted we have to leave behind any semblance of the need to belong to the family of Adam and any loyalty to living a life of following our own way that’s of the earth.  We must be willing to give up the ways we have accepted by way of influence in the world. This world is influenced by the culture of fallen angels. We submit to death to the world in order to be adopted by God. 

Adam was created as a Son of God but was separated from the Spirit of the Lord. Adam’s spirit that allowed him to commune with God went into stasis and he was left to follow the other way that he chose. He died to being able to communicate with God who is Spirit from his spirit. This brought spiritual death. Adam and Eve became separated from their Father by spiritual death. When he “fell” into following his own way (following His soul which is influenced and led by fallen angels) and was separated from the Spirit of God, he became less and less influenced by the truth of who God is. All children born to Adam and his progeny are separated from God in Spirit and in the Truth of who He is. We are all born with our spirits in stasis. 

Before God ever created man He knew that the power of his soul could lead them away from life given by spirit. The Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. Jesus would become the Lamb and sacrifice Himself in order to give mankind a path back to living in the dominance of spirit life. Sons of God live in the original covenant. 

However, the path requires death to following their own way (soul) before we can be adopted and live life in spirit. I know I’m repeating myself but many bring their past with them and believe God just cleans us up. No. We die. Water baptism is symbolic of burial. While we’re buried, many carry the memories with them and separation between the soul and spirit comes as we mature so all this is made clear to us. 

If we choose adoption which puts us in place to become heirs of life through the Spirit we become new creations. The Spirit of God indwells our spirit, bringing it out of stasis, and to life to be able to commune with God. He becomes our Father. We become His Sons. His ways become our ways as we learn them. Our mind is renewed (through time and processes and trials) to accept His way and His thoughts as truth that governs our new characters built by living in Him. It is in this way we come to be “made after His likeness and in His image”. He is Spirit and He is Truth. In Spirit and in Truth we come to know love. He is, also, Love. 

Depending on what our ways that are of the earth have taught us that we live as true, our mind will need to be renewed. Our souls accept ways of the world that contain lies and half truths and we have built our habits, behaviours and characters around them. False teachings have kept us accepting our old thinking is accepted by the Lord.  This isn’t true. Father breaks all that down and builds us from the ground up. When we accept Christ, we are fully son but we are infantile in understanding His ways. (Napios is Greek word). As we mature His ways become our ways. His thoughts become our thoughts. 

When we are adopted into God’s family He becomes our Father and we learn to unlearn or submit to His Spirit of Truth that teaches us our new family ways. We are to be dominated by life in spirit. It is our identity. We have to let go of all the world has taught us that we accept as our identity. 

In offering adoption we are offered Sonship. Just like Jesus did while he was on the earth we learn to only do what we see Our Father doing and only say what He is saying. Our old life passes away. All things become new. 

We have grown accustomed to thinking of ourselves as Christians. What most people don’t realize is this was not a good word to be called in the beginning of its use. . It was a way of putting people down and calling them something that was disgusting. Christians were called atheists because they didn’t believe in the gods of Greece. Sons were first called Christians at Antioch. Our Father refers to us as Sons, no matter what stage of maturity we’re in but we’re all in different stages of maturity. He never referred to us in the scriptures as Christians. This comes from the sense and reason of man’s souls. We accept things because we reason it out that it’s good. This is just one example of how men’s souls lead them to accept things that carry no truth. 

Our spirit that the Spirit of God indwells teaches us to dominate the thoughts and emotions of the soul and bring them into alignment with the truth of the Spirit.

There are three sources of life that we each live in.  We live in the body which carries the life of Bios or biology. Sons of God live as spirits with the mind of our Father (Christ). This life is eternal and without end. The Greek word is Zoe. We also have the life of our soul or Psuche which is Greek but the English relates to our Psyche and psychology. The mind  is the seat of the psychological life which contains our emotions and where we determine we will live from. (Our will)

There are actually only two races of people who live on the earth from a spiritual

perspective. One race follows the Spirit and the other follows the soul or our own way influenced by fallen angels. In God’s family there is no gender, social status or class or race. 

Being born of the Spirit of God awakens us to the spirit life lived with the mind and heart of our Father which extends to every Son who has chosen to be adopted to be positioned to become heirs through Sonship. That’s what adoption does. It positions Sons for inheritance. What do we inherit?  Everything that’s in the House. (Family, and Kingdom) He provides all we need for life and godliness. 

Because mankind’s dominant life is their soul they have to be saved from worldly thoughts all they are being misled by. 

While we are, immediately, Sons of God when the Spirit of our Father  moves into our spirit, the process of our minds, wills, and emotions (souls) becoming dominated by the spirit can be slow depending on how much captivity our souls are in because of the influence and control by fallen angels (demons.) They have the power to influence the souls of men to mislead us in all areas. 

The second stage of growth as Sons is revealed by our ability to “see” the Kingdom which has One Sovereign. As we yield to His Sovereignty and obey Him in faith (face down—prostrate waiting for Him to rise up in every circumstance) we move into other stages of maturity. 

There’s only One Sovereign. America has made all in their government sovereign. It’s a huge mindset that has to change in Sons. All of this empowers us to learn the schemes of the enemy that brings us overcoming the wiles of the enemy. This is the young adult stage. Our desire is to mature into Huios which is the fully mature stage that Jesus lived in while He was on the Earth. 

Adoption, Sonship, and Salvation that comes in this positioning is offered freely to all mankind but our Father leaves the choice of following our soul or the spirit entirely up to each individual. In Sonship there is no choice. We follow and obey His choice. He will adopt any of us who choose to become His Sons who want to live in His family to be governed by the Spirit of Truth.  Obedience out of love and fear of the Lord (awe at His willingness to receive us as heirs as Sons living in the identity of Him as our Father which positions us to obey out of love) is a whole different way of life than what the franchised world of Christianity teaches. We have to want to be Sons. He won’t make us live in it.  It’s not easy. We thoroughly die to letting our souls lead us. We can only be led by our Father. 

Dying to things that our soul loves and finds pleasure in is hard to give up if we’ve become captive to them. Suffering follows us as we choose the life of the Spirit over the soul’s way.

This is why God told Adam and Eve, “ the day you eat of the fruit of following your own way you will surely die”. They became dead while they still lived in their bodies with souls because they could no longer commune Spirit to spirit with the Father. 

The opposite has to happen to be restored to this Spirit life. We have to die to all we desire that keeps the soul happy to enter into life in the Spirit of our Father as Sons. 

But when we finally “get it” and accept the good news we finally LIVE!

This is the gospel. The good news is we can be restored to Sonship. Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us…that we should become (process of maturing into) the Sons of God. 

Think of that!!
