Peace
Do we correctly interpret “peace?” We’ve learned that the four Hebrew characters that make up this word render out “to destroy the authority that establishes disorder.” That is a totally different mindset than what modern day “Christians” teach. A peacemaker would be something like I read in 2 Samuel chapter 8 this morning. David subdued and humbled the Philistines. He devastated the land of Moab. He butchered one third of the victims and spared the others to serve him. He destroyed the forces of Hadadezer. he captured 1700 calvary, and 20,000 infantry. He “slaughtered” 22,000 Syrians. The Lord gave him victories everywhere he turned.
Why did the Lord give David these victories? Doesn’t He care for all men? These nations did not follow the Father so they followed disorder. The Lord’s way is the only order. The Kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of our Father.
Who is the authority that establishes disorder? Any spirit or man who sets himself in agreement against our Father and His Kingdom in any way.
Does man have any intrinsic value apart from being established in the Father and His ways? The heart and mind of the Lord in this chapter is exposed in a totally different way than what most doctrines teach today. We’ve taken scripture and painted a picture to the world that we can live any way we want or desire and be accepted.
While the Father is merciful and forgives, His Standard of righteousness and justice is like unbendable iron. We must rightly divide between the truth and what is righteous according to His mind and stand with Him. If we insist on the folly of pursuing agreeing with any nations practices that oppose the Lord in any way and agree with the world’s mindsets that do not line up with our Father’s thinking we could find ourselves among the casualties of war that oppose Him in an eternal way.
We certainly don’t go out and kill people like David did. However, we are accountable to our Father to make sure our own hearts and ways should line up with the mind of the Lord. We must rule righteously over our own thoughts and actions and behaviours.
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Don’t fear those who can destroy the body but him who can destroy the soul.
