Looking for family
Looking for my family.
Jesus said, “My mother and my brothers are those who do my Father’s will.”
In the past seven years the Holy Spirit has been taking Deacon and I on a journey of eliminating lies we believed and therefore lived out as truth.
After the first several years I became aware that I had believed many lies simply because people I loved and did life with believed and lived in the culture of accepting things just because that was how our parents and those we loved and trusted and did it.
Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers in high places. (The air)
A city is a principality. It’s ruled by laws and bylaws accepted and enforced by the community that lives there. The citizens give their power to these established guidelines and leaders are given authority to uphold these standards. You accept the laws or leave if you don’t like them. You can try to change them but tradition is so strong in people that most times they’d rather die than change. This is what is happening in our land.
When our principalities of power and rule conflict with the Kingdom of God and/or eternal life, we have made ourselves into the enemies of Christ. He came to show us the Father so we could be adopted by Him into His family and live in His glory. That is the Kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. We go to divided meeting places so we won’t have to deal with not loving our brother. (Neither male nor female) This is NOT the way of our Father. This happens simply because we have accepted or never question the boundaries and guidelines we are supporting. Although we don’t know each other well enough to love each other we can tolerate someone believing something else if we can just do life with the portion of the church that believes like us.
In Romans Paul explains that when we enter into life in Christ we must die to living in the ways of Adam or mankind who chooses not to live in our Father’s way.
Traditions become set standards by how people live and no one ever questions if they’re living in truth (which is in Christ). They just say things like God is love so He doesn’t question our ways in which we’re stuck because He loves us. (Even if we don’t live very well??? The opposite is true. He came to
show us the truth so we can be set free. We’re controlled to the point of not questioning how we’re missing the mark of living in Christ. We’re sinning against our own Father and the Body of Christ and calling it Holy. It stinks.
Missing the mark is the definition of sin. We’re missing the mark of representing our Father as He is in us as a Body.
People I love that I know love Jesus barely speak to me anymore because Father won’t let me participate in traditional teachings and meetings and strongholds anymore. It’s grieving because I love my family in Christ but God won’t let me love those principalities and powers and rulers they govern their lives in that they call their churches.
Paul tells us in Ephesians there is one Spirit and One Church and One God
And Father of us all. Why are we doing this? Why are we not questioning our error?
He also tells us Christ is not divided but we segregate ourselves from each other every week in our services while never giving ourselves to learning who each other is because of those meetings that help us believe we’re doing what God wants us to do by attending meetings. This is not the Kingdom.
People, this is NOT our Father’s way. When are we going to quit supporting something we know is not righteous? Take the names off the buildings, take down the bylaws and live in Christ. We are in Christ. We must live Christ and not traditions and religion. This reeks of Babylon. We must run, not walk in the other direction.
We need to be searching for the truth. He has a NAME and we’re to be so immersed into that NAME that His character shines through us. JESUS is Lord. We are not Lord. When we bow to another name that separates Christ, we are making ourselves lords and doing it our way. This is lawlessness. Many say they’re praying for revival. Revival starts with making God sovereign and hanging up our lordship cloaks to live humbly in His way.
We proclaim Him Lord, separately
in our separately” named “ buildings that speak something other than JESUS! Why can’t we come together and proclaim Him without the traditions that separate us? His character is love and it is not contained in a building or a denomination or anything else that divides us from the rest of our Family.
They will know we are His by how we love one another.
How long are we going to allow ourselves to miss the mark of love? We’re not called to love people if they travel in our circles or worship in our building according to our bylaws. We are called to love at all times. Traditions are prisons that keep Christ from becoming all in all as far as I can see.
We should be known as the church or the body of Christ in Colorado City not segmented divisive ways that aren’t the Way of our Father.
Our Father is waiting for the church in Colorado City to live as a community in Christ in love. In the Revelation we hear Jesus telling each church in each city what they need to do to represent Him so they will have a lamp stand. He threatens to remove their lamp stand if they don’t repent. He is our lamp stand. When are we going to surrender and repent and make this happen?
